Blue Max was one of only three pure bred stallions to be awarded Grade 1 Status at the 2007 Stallion Inspections. He is a quality purebred by Blue Henry who was regarded as one of the most influencial Irish Draught sires with prizewinning progeny in all disciplines. Blue Henry competed at medium level affiliated dressage expressing a very flamboyant medium trot and was NaSta performance tested. Max's dam Clannad Bess also produced champion stock from a number of RID stallions, the best known being the charismatic heavyweight show Cob "Polaris", a multichampion who managed to accumulate 52 major championships before retiring. Vega, Madam Butterfly and Blue Horizon are all of the same line.
Blue Max has an impressive ten and a half inch bone, superb light and extravagant free flowing paces which he has inherited from both his sire and dam
Blue Max has a lovely expressive head, full bold eyes and shows all the attributes of a quality Irish Draught. He has a very gentle nature about him. He was backed in 2007 and worked very well on the flat with three super paces and showed a talent over jumps. Max was produced for dressage and jumping by Stephen Way an experienced Australian event rider at his international event yard, Pitton, Nr Salisbury. He accumulated 82 BD points reaching elementary level with his rider, but has since retired to stud duties and general hacking out.
